Warehouse Renovations Continue

RAVENNA, OH -- Workers have begun phase I of extensive renovations planned for our shop and warehouse facility located in nearby Ravenna.  Purchased in 1987, the 13-acre industrial complex serves to provide secure warehouse space and expanded shop facilities for Martin's growing equipment re-manufacturing business.  While the initial architectural and site design work was being completed, new roofing was installed on the 15,000 s.f. shop area; steel reinforcement beams were added to the west warehouse roof; and exterior siding, gutter and down spot work was completed on the north warehouse.  In addition, abatement was accomplished in preparation of demolishing three large building structures including the original free-standing administration building that originates back to 1892.  Demolition work has already begun to remove a tall 3-story steel tower that originally housed a dust collector  for the former foundry (see photo insert).  This will clear the way for the eventual demolition of the adjacent east warehouse once the 10,000 s.f. south warehouse has been reconstructed.  Over the course of the year, we will keep you posted on the progress.
